National Bull Movement Monument

National Bull Movement or Gerakan Banteng Nasional (GBN) is the name of the Command which was formed in January 1950 under the leadership of Lt. Col. Sarbini. This GBN functions to prevent the spread of the DI/TII movement in Central Java led by Amir Fatah (a former TNI member from the Hezbollah unit) in the north, which operates in the Tegal, Brebes and Pekalongan areas. This monument is a public area so it can be visited anytime. The DI/TII movement was crushed through the National Bull Operation led by Colonel Sarbini, Lt. Col. Bachrum and Lt. Col. Ahmad Yani, in 1950. To commemorate him, in Procot Slawi a GBN monument was built and in Lebaksiu District a GBN statue was also built. According to stories from local residents, the crackdown on the DI/TII Movement in Tegal also passed through Sitanjung Hill in Lebaksiu.
